Professional kayaker, Dale Jardine, exits a Heathe Springs Rapid, a huge waterfall on the North Fork of the American River in a section known as the "Royal Gorge." (June 2003) The Royal Gorge is an extremely beautiful, yet unforgiving river gorge with many class V rapids and huge waterfalls.
